I was asked to create a holiday card that focused on the act of giving instead of just the gift card itself. The copy provided included a curated list of where one could donate or spend the gift card.
I worked with the printer to create a custom-sized card that aimed to reinforce an order of interaction with its recipient.
The gift card itself was tucked beneath a folded flap that was sealed with a sticker so that the recipient would be forced to read the copy above first. They would not discover the gift card’s presence until peeling back the sticker and looking beneath the flap. Furthermore, it was not until opening this fold that they would discover how much the card was worth.
